Regular Term Classes - (Face to Face in Rousehill)

Regular Classes – Term 4 – Oct’24

Important information for Regular Term Classes:

  • Term 4: 14th Oct’24 to 21st Dec’24 (start and end date depends on the day of the week your child will start the first class)
  • Course Duration: 10 Weeks (1 Class per week)
  • Duration of each class: 1 hour 15 mins
  • ARTist KIT IS NOT INCLUDED WITH REGULAR TERM COURSES. YOU CAN PURCHASE IT via “shop with us” at home page
  • Pre-Beginners and Beginners Art Classes:
    • Monday to Friday – 5pm to 6:15pm
    • Saturday – 10am to 11:15am
  • Intermediate and Advanced Art Classes:
    • Monday to Friday – 6:15pm to 7:30pm
    • Saturday – 11:15am to 12:30pm
  • Schedule for Pre-Beginners:
    • Water colour painting and simple drawing in each class.
  • Schedule for Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced Level:
    • Acrylic painting on canvas (Week 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 8)
    • Sketching and Drawing (Week 3, 6, 9)
    • Glass Vase painting (Week 10)
  • Not Included in the Art Kit: (Only for Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced Level)
    • Glass vase is NOT included in the artist kit and to be sent with the child in last class of the term. (i.e. Week10)
    • Canvases (6 required for the term) are included in the Artist kit for Beginners, Intermediate and  Advanced Level, however for readmission or if you’re bringing your own art kit then you need to send one canvas with your child on Week 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 8)

Pre Beginners Art Classes (Aged 4.5 to 6 yrs)

  • Water colour painting on customized A3 booklet
  • Introduction to basic drawing and sketching
  • Understanding primary colors and their combinations
  • Introduction to basic painting tools and materials
  • Simple color mixing exercises and exploration of brush strokes

Beginners Art Classes (Aged 7 to 8 yrs)

  • Acrylic painting on canvas
  • Basic drawing and sketching
  • Understanding acrylic paints and their characteristics
  • Basic color theory and mixing
  • Introduction to skies, trees, and water using acrylics
  • Introduction to essential painting materials and tools
  • Practice exercises on colour blending and basic brush techniques
  • Exploring light and shadow in acrylic painting
  • Understanding perspective in landscape painting

Intermediate Art Classes (Aged 9 to 12 yrs)

  • Acrylic painting on canvas
  • Deepening understanding of colour mixing
  • Further complex drawing and sketching
  • Compositional techniques and their applications in painting
  • Creating more complex compositions with varied textures
  • Exploring texture effects with different tools and techniques
  • Developing realistic landscapes with intricate details
  • Advanced techniques for trees, foliage, and realistic skies

Advanced Art Classes (Aged 13 to 18 yrs)

  • Exploring abstract concepts in acrylic painting
  • Complex drawing and sketching techniques
  • Understanding and implementing abstract composition and ideas
  • Mastering hyper-realistic techniques in still life and landscapes
  • Experimenting with light and shadow to create depth
  • Encouraging students to develop their own artistic style
  • Critique sessions and individual guidance

Each level will build upon the skills and knowledge acquired in the previous level, aiming to develop a well-rounded understanding of acrylic painting, from foundational skills to more complex and individualized artistic expression.
